OUR VICAR - MARK STANFORD

After a career in banking he trained for ministry at St John’s College Durham before coming to Liverpool Diocese in 1998. Mark has been in his present role since 2012 as vicar of the United Benefice of Holy Trinity Church, Formby and St Michael and All Angels, Altcar where he leads a large and creative ministry team. He is passionate to see people taking their next steps in following Jesus wherever they are on the journey. He enjoys keeping fit and playing the drums.
OUR CHURCH WARDENS
Jan writes: "I was born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire but have moved around the country through my late husband’s work. I started attending Holy Trinity 30 years ago when we moved to Formby. For many years I have been involved with Girlguiding and for the past 18 years I can be found 'behind the stall' on a Saturday morning at the Workshop."
We are very saddened to have to report the death of Richard on Monday 1 February, after a long illness borne both courageously and cheerfully. His friendship and sense of humour will be very much missed around Holy Trinity Church, not to mention of course the enormous contributions he made to the running of the church and the fun he generated when directing our theatrical productions in recent years! Our love goes out to Richard's wife Ruth, brother Peter and all his family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory - singing!
